Canon STM EF 40mm : un probleme d'autofocus

Le pancake EF 40mm f2.8 lancé par Canon semble souffrir d'un petit problème lié au fonctionnement de l'autofocus : Canon vient ainsi d'officialiser ce probleme et de donner une procédure de "dépannage" (il s'agit en fait de se débrouiller en attendant une mise à jour prochaine du firmware qui devrait être en mesure de solutionner le dysfonctionnement.

Phenomenon
If pressure is applied to the lens barrel while the lens is mounted to the camera (pressure can be applied even while attaching the lens cap or while carrying the camera with the lens attached in a bag), the autofocusing function of the lens may stop working.
*This phenomenon does not occur during normal shooting.
*This phenomenon does not result in a malfunction of the lens.

Workaround
When the above phenomenon occurs, detach and reattach the lens, or remove and reinsert the camera battery to restore the operations.

Market Support
The firmware to address this phenomenon will be available for download in late August, 2012.

Si une pression est exercée sur l'optique (cette pression peut correspondre à la manipulation du cache ou simplement aux effets du transport dans un sac), l'autofocus peut se bloquer et ne plus fonctionner. La solution proposée est la suivante : il s'agit, pour débloquer l'autofocus de démonter puis de remonter l'objectif , ou d'ôter la batterie du boîtier afin de réinitialiser l'appareil et donc l'autofocus.
